
The Oscar nominations were revealed which means that the 2008 Academy Awards ceremony will take place being scheduled to air live on February 24 on ABC. In is not known whether or not the Writer’s Guild of America strike will influence the telecast.
The Academy claims to be moving ahead with the red carpet and awards ceremony as usual, with spokeswoman Leslie Unger telling press: “We are planning to have our show at the Kodak Theatre with an audience of 3,300 people and a television audience significantly larger than that.”

In terms of Sound Editing I don’t know why there is even any other nominees aside from Transformers. I know many are saying that There will be Blood should take the award however I disagree as there was barely any sound to edit in that film!!! Transformers on the other hand takes the cake as not only a great film but a great example of how a movie can be transformed( haha) with a exceptional sound editor.
