According to recent news, a warrant was issued for R. Kelly for his failure to appear in a Chicago court for his child pornography case. Kelly’s defense lawyer, Ed Genson, claimed he was held up in Utah because of the snow. State police pulled over Kelly’s tour bus for eight hours in Green River, Utah, to check the bus’ log, Genson said and assured Gaughan that Kelly had made every effort to make it to court on time. R. Kelly was ordered to appear in court Thursday at 9 a.m. or he will face arrest.
