The 21-year-old actress and singer Lindsay Lohan served just 84 minutes in jail recently for drink-driving charges. Lohan turned herself into the Los Angeles County women’s detention centre, Lynwood at 10.30am and she was released at 11.54am.
According to the report, Lohan’s original 24-hour sentence was reduced as her crime was non-violent and the centre was overcrowded. It seems Lohan’s celebrity status was not the reason she was released early as that what they do for everybody in this position.
As a recall, Lohan was arrested in May for crashing her Mercedes into a tree and then in July for further driving offenses. In both cases, Lohan was found with cocaine in her possession. Lindsay Lohan agreed a plea deal on misdemeanour drunken driving and cocaine charges, and the deal called for her to spend a day in jail, perform community service and enter treatment.
