According to the British press Daily Mail report, Kylie Minogue won’t start her world tour anytime soon because it may be to soon to get out on the road. However Minogue’s representatives have demanded an apology from the newspaper for calming that the singer had cancelled a 40th birthday tour aiming fears for her health.
Kylie had to cancel her 2005 tour at the last minute due to her breast cancer and was eager to get back on the road. The pop star was reported to be preparing for some concerts in 2008 after her creative director William Baker claimed they had started rehearsals. The report was claiming that the singer is listening her doctor’s instructions and won’t follow her tour schedule because she is not yet fit enough for the rigors of touring following her recovery from breast cancer. The conclusion is that Kylie’s representatives have asked the newspaper “to print a prominent apology for the highly damaging story.”
The tour is not going to happen, it is far too soon. I can’t do it next year. It kind of breaks my heart because that is what I’m in this business for. Not being able to go ahead with my plans is a real downer. Every woman has to face up to new priorities, near the top is health. I take my health very seriously but not obsessively. Everything is about pacing yourself.
