According to a new report, American rapper TI, by real name Clifford Harris, has been arrested on suspicion of collecting guns. He was arrested in an Atlanta car park and was unable to perform at the BET Hip-Hop ceremony. In present the rapper “has a criminal record so also faces a charge of possession of firearms by a convicted felon.”
BBC News reports 3 firearms, one loaded, were found in the car TI was driving, while six more weapons, 5 of them loaded, were discovered at the singer’s home. Despite T.I.’s absence, the self-proclaimed “King of the South,” who was up for nine nominations, won two awards at this year BET Hip-Hop awards. Of course the rapper couldn’t accept any trophies or make the planned performance. The 2007 BET Hip Hop Awards is scheduled to air on Wednesday, October 17 on BET at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
