According to a new report, R&B star Mya has been chosen to sing a new cancer charity anthem. The beautiful singer has recorded award-winning songwriter Kara DioGuardi’s new track My Bra for the 13th annual Stop Breast Cancer for Life public awareness campaign. The song, which speaks directly to those within the breast cancer community, will be available on iTunes website which users can purchase the track for 99 cents and it will also feature TV ads. The campaign also features a TV film on America’s Lifetime network, called Matters of Life + Dating, which follows a sad story about as a single woman living with breast cancer. The R&B singer’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer nine years ago and helped her mom through six surgeries, chemo and recovery.
I knew she’d get through it, but I was also very, very scared. I was a little ignorant as to what breast cancer was. Now that I’m aware that I’m at risk, I’m taking care of myself.
