According to a new report, the pop Celebrity Madonna has ditched her long-time record label, Warner Music, in favour of a $120m deal with Live Nation. The 49-years-old singer who is always trying to reinvent herself, has been recording for Warner ever since 1983, but now Madonna’s high profitable touring and recording rights will be owned exclusively by Live Nation. Last year’s Confessions tour, which is managed by Live Nation, grossed $260m.
In the 10-year deal, Madonna will have $18m signing bonus and an additional advance of $17m in cash and shares for each of the three albums. If Madonna goes on tour, she will get up to 90 per cent of the profits.
