The singer and wanna-be-actress Jessica Simpson is the next Celebrity set to launch a signature fragrance after she signed a global licensing agreement with perfume and beauty products maker Parlux Fragrances Inc.. The 27-year-old singer’s yet-unnamed perfume is expected to hit shelves in summer next year, in July 2008 in the U.S. and internationally after that. Simpson has her own shoe, clothing and hair accessories line and previously was the face for Dessert Beauty’s edible cosmetics collection and a swimwear line.
Parlux Fragrances, Inc. also holds the licenses to manufacture and distribute the fragrance brands of celebrities like Perry Ellis, Maria Sharapova, Andy Roddick, babyGund, Paris Hilton and Fred Hayman Beverly Hills.
