According to a new report, the Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie will receive the Outstanding Performance of the Year Award for her performance in the movie A Mighty Heart at The Santa Barbara International Film Festival. The actress who already receive an Academy Award and was three-time Golden Globe winner will be honored for her role as Mariane Pearl – the wife of a murdered journalist – early next year on Feb. 2, 2008. Tickets are on-sale and the event will take place at the Arlington Theatre. It seems the timing of the announcement and DVD release is perfect for Angelina Jolie’s Oscar race for best actress.
We are honored to celebrate Ms. Jolie in what is arguably one of the most extraordinary female roles of the year.
