The beautiful singer Shakira is one of those celebrities who easily give away millions for those who need a helping hand. Shakira has donated a reported $40 million to rebuild disaster-stricken areas. The money comes from her child poverty foundation named Solidarity Foundation that she co-founded with Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and will be used to aid Peruvian earthquake victims, as well as hurricane suffering in Nicaragua.

Meanwhile, th Pop Latin Celebrity Shakira, who also has a Colombia non-profit foundation Pies Descalzos, spent the entire summer studying the History of Western Civilization at the University of California, Los Angeles.

I’ve seen first-hand many of the challenges facing Latin America. These are challenging problems that no one person can address, but working together everyone can help make a difference.
