As you already know Nicole Richie is pregnant with Joel’s baby and has reportedly postponed her wedding with beau Joel Madden till after the birth of their first child. A friend of Richie revealed she doesn’t want for her and for her baby to think that they “rushed to get marriage because she got pregnant.” The Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden, who is very excited with the idea of being a father, confirmed recently that he will definitely marry five-month pregnant Nicole after she gives birth. The future parents don’t know yet whether it’s a boy or a girl.
Meanwhile, Nicole Richie has decided to give up her pet cat, which survived a fall from her 10th floor apartment balcony last year. It seems the cat smell makes pregnant Nicole sick to her stomach.

Obviously marriage is in our future. I don’t know when or how, but right now our priority is our family and the baby. That’s all we’ve been thinking about. We are in love and we are really happy. We are waiting to find out if it is a boy or a girl. We don’t even know. So right now it’s an ‘it’, which sounds wrong. We call it the baby. When we talk to it, it’s ‘you’. I’m excited. It’s the best thing that has ever happened to us. It’s awesome. The baby has started kicking and I already went to the store Target and got a stroller and a playpen for the nursery.
