Days ago the hip-hop/soul queen Mary J Blige was supporting Briney, now Fergie also steps forward and slams Britney Spears’ critics following her comeback performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. The Black Eyed Peas star says that the critics should leave Britney Spears alone and Lindsay Lohan too. Fergie, who has a life experience believes only they can help themselves and the best thing we can do right now is to leave them alone for a while. Britney and Lindsay are still easy targets and a break away from the media spotlights could help them resolve their troubles.

They’re young. Leave them alone. If they want to get better, they’re going to get better on their own. If somebody is going to change, they have to want to do it themselves. I think it is really unfair to them when they are trying to get help. We’re all watching as a nation and commenting day by day on their rehabilitation. It’s not fair. You’re supposed to have a sanctuary, a place where you can go and not be pressured every day.
