Hollywood actress Charlize Theron told the press at the Venice Film Festival that she is for the removal of US troops from Iraq and warned the American people to open their eyes to the conflict in Iraq and other regions around the world. Charlize is the latest Celebrity who sees the period of conflict, tension and competition between “some” countries.
Anyway Oscar-winning actress spoke a little about the issue (you have the quote following the article) at the Venice Film Festival, where she promoted her latest film, In The Valley of Elah. The movie is based on the true story of a soldier who went missing on his first weekend back from serving in Iraq.
Nothing would give me more joy than to see them (the troops) back in America. They are doing a very, very important job and it’s a dangerous one. Hopefully they can come back and be looked after, that’s the least we can do for them. In a way it’s really strange now living in America. I realize my generation has kind of slacked a little bit … I don’t know how people get through their lives not knowing. I can’t imagine going through my life like that.
