What a happy moment, if you ask me it’s obvious that Paris Hilton is irritated that all the media attention is on the Celebrity couple David and Victoria Beckham. In an exclusive interview with Dateline Hollywood, Paris Hilton was not thrilled at all saying, “the media is fawning like they’re superstars, but they haven’t actually done anything. Can anyone explain why I should care about these people?” In answer to that I won’t turn to details or examples to prove she’s wrong but let me just say that they deserve their status, unlike Paris. Despite playing for only about 13 minutes in his first game for the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team on Saturday, David Beckham helped draw a record 1.5 million viewers to the TV broadcast.

It’s outrageous that Paris Hilton, who asked Victoria her friendship, said in the interview she is concerned about the example that Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham has been setting for America’s teenage girls, she “weeps for the state of American culture.” What a hypocrisy from Paris to say that, just because Victoria decline the friendship and now Paris can’t connect to David easily.

Anyway the point is that not everyone agrees with what Paris says and I am extremely happy that the celebrity media outlets from TMZ to Access Hollywood to E! News have covered Beckham’s every move, making Hilton show her sharp teeth.

The sense of entitlement that Beck and Posh display frankly disgusts me. I’m talking not just for myself, but for my millions of young female fans who are the most active consumers of entertainment news.
