Reports say one of the Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland always dreamed of being white even as a child. From an early age Kelly was confident the white skin would give her a better chance for a successful career. Although the R&B Celebrity still believes black performers have an unfair disadvantage, that time is way back of us; in our days it doesn’t matter the colour as long as you’ve got what it takes to be a star: beauty, intelligence, charisma and blessedness. Fortunately Kelly Rowland has learned to appreciate her own roots as she revealed with the help of Beyonce Knowles’ mum, Tina.
It’s said that brown-skinned girls don’t sell magazines, that’s sad. I wished I was fair-skinned, but Tina Knowles, Beyonce’s mom, said, ‘Don’t you know how beautiful you are?’ She made me come into my brown beauty. I didn’t get it, now I do. I am chocolate and beautiful and loving it.
