According to the news, after The Humane Society of the United States investigated the faux fur designs of Sean “Diddy” Combs end up announcing the fact that the garments were made from canines. That being said, after The Humane Society revealed the two hoodies advertised as faux fur were actually made from a raccoon dog, the hip-hop mogul Diddy denied knowing anything about it or what was the source. I am not into fur, I am not against fur, one thing is for sure it’s sad that these things happen.
I was completely unaware of the nature of this material, but as soon as we were alerted, the garments were pulled off the Macy’s floor and Website. I have instructed our outerwear licensee to cease the production of any garments using this material immediately. I appreciate the tireless work that the Humane Society does and would like to thank them for bringing attention to this issue.

Well,while we’re at it let’s pull ALL the fur out of Macy’s and everywhere else. Macy’s advertized multiple garment this season one particularly despicable: a raccoon coat lined in rabbit fur. Hmmmmm. How many animals of how many different species can we torture and slaughter for one garment? If this didn’t involve a celebrity would it have even been an issue? This is a very telling comment on the moral paucity of our society.
