R&B Celebrity Mary J. Blige topped the Billboard Music Awards winners list after winning in more than nine categories including R&B/Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, Female R&B Artist and R&B/hip-hop Album of the Year. The singer took home almost every award in the R&B category thanks to the album, ‘Be Without You’ with 2.5 million record sales and 40 million worldwide!
The Billboard Music Awards ceremony took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and featured performances from Mary J. Blige, Fergie, Gwen Stefani and Janet Jackson.
Among other winners, rapper T.I. took home five awards including Rap Album and Artist for his 2006 album, “King” and Chris Brown receiving Artist of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and New Artist of the Year. Paris Hilton and Britney Spears but declined at the last minute.
