Good news for the international paparazzi, Hollywood’s Celebrity couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, have arrived in Pune a Indian city for shooting A Mighty Heart. A film which is based on American Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl who kidnapped and killed by British-born, Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, known as Sheikh Omar in Pakistan. Ahmed was sentenced to death in July 2002 for kidnapping and killing Pearl in the southern city of Karachi earlier that year. The film A Mighty Heart was scripted by the journalist’s wife Marianne Pearl and co-produced by Pitt’s production company. Hollywood Celebrity Angelina Jolie will play Marianne’s role in the film version of Mariane Pearl’s book, A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life and Death of My Husband Danny Pearl and her partner, is the movie’s producer.
However unpleasant things do happen and as there was not much security for the Hollywood Celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie – who’s visit made headlines even before they reached Pune – Pitt’s bodyguards got violent with media. A British photographer was manhandled and threatened by a bodyguard of Hollywood couple outside the five star hotel where Brad and Angelina are staying. A footage of the incident were Indian journalists were also abused aired on TV channels.
In other Celebrity news, Angelina Jolie says she and Brad Pitt are disappointed they are not shooting “A Mighty Heart,” a film about U.S. journalist Daniel Pearl, in Pakistan where he was abducted and murdered in 2002. For security reasons “A Mighty Heart” will be made in the western Indian city of Pune, with the exception of a few background scenes shot in Pakistan.
