According to Star magazine, Oprah Winfrey is reportedly furious on Hollywood celebrity Angelina Jolie for turning down a request to participate in her charity work. The magazine says that Winfrey reportedly invited Jolie to help promote a girl’s school in Africa ( which is really close to be open ) and even though it was all about the charity and helping those less fortunate, Oprah was shocked when the Hollywood celebrity refused her offer. Why is that? You may find it ridiculous but apparently Angelina Jolie has never forgiven Oprah for siding with Jennifer Aniston after Brad Pitt split from Jen. Talk show host Oprah, who said it’s the last time she’ll ask Angelina to help with any of her causes, thought Angelina would love to because of her love for Africa. I say it’s fair enough. Goodwill Ambassador Angelina will take care of her charities work while Oprah will manage to handle hers.

Well now…the queen is upset? I don’t believe she has said yes to everything everyone has asked of her…I used to like her but she is too demanding and not understanding anymore. Good luck with your efforts Oprah but you need to get a life and stop whining when you don’t get your way after all: you’re a person like the rest of us with one exception…you can pay for what you want and don’t have to be upset with others who are doing the same as you…helping out where they can…it is NOT all about you anymore.

If this rumor is actually factual than just an allegation, I commend Angelina for striking her dominance against being used in someone else’s (Oprah for Oprah) Nobel Peace Prize for Oprah campaign.
Oprah is always getting on someone’s celebrity as if she created them (Jamie Foxx) and was always their best friend (Julia Roberts, John Travolta). She can be friends with anyone unless they are a hot celebrity when they were always hot before she caught/catches on.
I like Oprah but this part of her is very obvious and sleezy about her alterior motives. She is the biggest celebrity that can’t handle the power she has to realize she doesn’t need other celebrities to validate her. Her good intentions alone should be enough for her but she has to put icing on top. This time her icing melted.
It’s very obvious Angelina is not doing what she does for a Nobel Peace Prize nomination…she is doing it because that is part of what is quirky and altruistic about herself. Oprah however is a self-promotion machine.
Whether or not this allegation is true, Oprah needs to stop whoring with celebrities. Angelina hangs with people no one else would fuck with and that is what is so damn beautiful about her. Also, Angelina does not publicize everything for self-promotion.

Oprah and Angelina are both being immature to me, according to what I just read form the article. Oprah being “furious” at Angelina because she turned down her offer is petty. And Angelina, being a Goodwill Ambassador, turning down a chance to help innocent people in Africa because Oprah “sided” with Anistan is childish. Both of them need to build a bridge and get over it, if this is the case.
Oprah does a lot of charity work and everyone thinks she is doing it for her name. Well, news flash, most of the charities Oprah does is not always mentioned. She does a lot of charity work behind the scenes. We only hear about a few and that’s to probably just motivate others to give a helping hand. Why should people be upset if Oprah is doing what we all should be more willing to do. Yes she asks many celebrities to help her, but lets face it celebrities attract money, not us average joes’/janes’.
Angelina does a phenomenal job at being a Goodwill Ambassador. I hear about her more than I hear of Oprah’s work. She is always somewhere doing some type of productive work in the news. When we see hear in the news and when we hear of her speaking about her work, we don’t think she is trying to put her name out into the media. We think she is just doing it for the love of children.
Truth is we don’t know these women (except for what we see on tv and hear about) and we do not know their motivation for their givingness. We see what we want to see. Oprah, maybe to some, ‘seems’ over bearing but she sure does get the job done. Angelina maybe be the cool,radical celebrity but she is doing the same work Oprah is doing. They both should grow up and stop acting like victims. Oprah, there are plenty of other celebrities that have just as much appeal as Angelina. Angelina, who cares if somenone sided with Anistan. Don’t let that stop you from doing some good in this world.

i believe that though oprah’s efforts should be commended for helping african villages, there are other parts of the world that as such need help. and if she really wants to be a humanitarian then her efforts should reach out to other people not just african people. right here in the usa we have children in deperate need of help with their education and such other things like health care and diseases. in our own appalachian mountains we have white children barely surviving, in the reservations we have native american children barely surviving, in india, indonesia, southeast asia and so on and so forth. perhaps her efforts are aimed solely on a racial preference. well that is only one person’s opinion. and miss jolie perhaps feels the same way.

Why help such a small number with such a large amount of money? How popular will those girls be with their nicely pressed green shirts and jackets
in the general population? In a country long known for its divisions won’t this school only cause more separation between the haves and haves not?
And what gives Oprah the right to be on a committee to not select 5375 children? Could it be her extensive educational background? I guess being a talk show host makes you an expert in the educational field. I can see why Jolie wouldn’t join in this effort. You see Jolie hugging kids that are in really bad shape and Oprah hugging kids that she has hand picked and cleaned up and dresses in nice clean uniforms. I don’t think Jolie and oprah have the same goals in mind.

I think Angelina has too much class to associate herself with people like Oprah- One minute they backstabb you (on Live T.V)- then the next she asks for your help!
