Madonna replaced Britney Spears in the Guinness Book of Records

Madonna

According to the news, the 2007 edition of the Guinness Book of Records names Madonna who earned $50 million in 2004, the highest paid female singer on the planet. Last year the title went to Pop Celebrity Britney Spears, who had held the record since 2001. More bad news for Britney as the R&B Celebrity Janet Jackson replaced her in Web rankings for the world’s most searched-for female and most searched-for news item. The Hollywood Celebrity Brad Pitt was the most searched man.

Meanwhile, Nicole Kidman took the title for the highest salary per minute for an actor ( with an estimated $3.71 million for a four-minute commercial for Chanel No. 5), Oprah Winfrey is named the highest-paid person on TV ($225 million) and Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has the highest annual earnings for a children’s author, $64 million.
