According to the news, Hollywood Celebrity Nicole Kidman slammed Angelina Jolie saying the Goodwill Ambassador is using her charity work for publicity. Someone is having a problem or not that much of attention lately as Nicole Kidma is about to make her first trip to India as goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Development Fund for Women. Yes indeed, there are many people who are doing a lot of good, which is great! But the button of line is that Angelina Jolie sells! Also known for her charity work, the Hollywood Celebrity gave birth to her first biological child, Shiloh Nouvel, with boyfriend Brad Pitt this year. The actress has previously visited victims of the 2005 Pakistan earthquake disaster on behalf of the UN, and donated all the money with Brad Pitt raised from the sale of the first pictures of baby Shiloh to UNICEF.
It’s not like Angelina is any better than a nurse working in a hospital but she’s getting the publicity for her contribution. I have a friend who is a doctor and every year he works in Africa for two months for no money. So everyone is on the same playing field, whether you offer your services as the doctor or as Angelina does.

Actually, I don’t think that statement is a slam. She’s not denying what Angelina does or stating that she is doing it only for publicity. She’s just stating the truth: That lots of people do good things but only a few are recognized.
Of course, I hate Angelina’s flakey guts, so I’m a bit biased…

The fact that people care anything about these idiots urks me to no end. I mean really, does the fact that either Brad or Angelina are so incredibly rich make them feel that they can lead by example? What makes anyone think they should follow them? Or for that matter even Care what they think or do? I mean take her UN exploits for one thing, and add to that the fact that Brangelina say they won’t get married until everyone can marry whom (or possibly what) they want. The good deeds we do not say anything about are the deeds that are counted…any good deed that has to be publicized is not counted! Do we do good for the good of mankind? Or do we do good to look good to other? I really respect the celebrities that practice Random Acts of Kindness and step up to the plate like anyone else would in times of crisis…

These movie stars make sooooo much money. Yes, it’s great that some of them make contributions without having the world know about it. Let see, that take’s their accountant/publicist a couple minutes to make a donation and the’ve done their good deeds. But Angelina Jolie gives not only her money but her time! What ever her reasons may be, she is doing something positive. Can we say that about everyone in hollywood?

well doing things should come from the heart and not for the public to see what u have done.There are lots of celebrities also doing charity works and they don’t do it for the public to see.Angelina should not try to use her celebrity status to get publicity which is what she is doing and that is all Nicole Kidman is saying.

Is she really that selfish that she has invested several years of her life as a goodwill ambassador traveling to third world countries and bringing attention to their needs and donating 1/3 of her income so that she can get publicity??? Well, I better not hear anything about what Nicole is doing about her charity work because then she would be doing it for publicity.
I believe these organizations request the assistance of celebrities because of their celebrity status. They know they can bring attention to their causes.
I never actually cared for Angelina Jolie until she was actively involved with UNHCR. I’m not actively doing anything right now to help their cause, but at least now I’m more educated about it – and that’s because of her. Blame the paparazzi and the tabloid for all the publicity. They know people want gossip and dirt. Heck, that’s why we check out these sites, right?
At least she’s wise enough to use the publicity that she’s getting to get her message across about UNHCR. If you can’t beat them, use them!
Donna… I have a degree in public relations, I understand EXACTLY what Angelina is doing. The more her name gets said, the more money she makes.
