According to the news, the celebrity couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have created a new charitable foundation named Jolie/Pitt Foundation to aid humanitarian causes across the globe. Families affected by HIV/AIDS and extreme poverty will receive help from the foundation for which Angelina and Brad gave $ 2 million: $1 to the Global Action for Children and $1 million to Doctors Without Borders. Known for her charity work, goodwill ambassador for the U.N. Angelina Jolie and her boyfriend Brad Pitt previously visited victims of the 2005 Pakistan earthquake disaster on behalf of the UN, and donated all the money with Brad Pitt raised from the sale of the first pictures of baby Shiloh to UNICEF. Anyway Jennifer Delaney, the U.S. director for Global Action for Children, expressed gratitude for the donation, telling the Associated Press that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt not only care, but are taking concrete action for the millions orphaned by AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and conflict or whose parents are sick and dying.
Angelina and Brad are committed to using their resources to help the world’s most vulnerable people. These two organizations are focusing on crises that receive far too little attention and Angelina and Brad are happy to do their part to help.

The Hollywood actors arrived last week in Pune, India, to star in the biopic, A Mighty Heart. The film is follows the story of American Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl who was kidnapped and killed by British-born, Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, known as Sheikh Omar in Pakistan. Ahmed was sentenced to death in July 2002 in the southern city of Karachi earlier that year. On this day our thoughts go out to Danny’s family. The Daniel Pearl Foundation is celebrating this day, his birthday, with music festivals around the world.
