Flowers or letters? No. Sultan of Brunei’s son sent $5.4 million worth of diamonds to the R&B celebrity Mariah Carey, an unusual gift at least from a fan, yes indeed a prince this time. The Mirror reports the generous fan a 24-year old guy, Prince Azim offered to Mariah Carey an eight-carat flawless diamond and platinum necklace and matching ring, which were delivered by private jet to the R&B/Pop celebrity just before she performed live in front of 20,000 fans at New York’s Madison Square Garden recently. This is not the first time when Mariah Carey receives diamonds as last year she was really touched when she got flowers and diamonds from a secret admirer. Coincidence?
In other celebrity news, Hip-Hop mogul Jay-Z made a surprise appearance at Madison Square Garden showing up on stage during Mariah Carey’s tour stop. Jay stepped in during her performance of their single, “Heartbreaker”.
