During the Teen Choice awards ceremony, Jessica Simpson shared the stage with cohost (and rumored former love interest Dane Cook) while her ex-husband, Nick Lachey, who was nominated for several awards, sat in the front row next to Jessica Alba and his boyfriend Cash Warren. Before the ceremony, Simpson and Lachey managed to take a look at each other on the red carpet, as well. Jessica Simpson made her appearance around 4:15 p.m., while Nick appear on the carpet 45 minutes later, just minutes before the live broadcast began.
However Lachey missed the first part of the show, during which Simpson and Cook joked about their rumored romance. The most ‘awkward’ Teen Choice moment for Nick was when he had to pick up his Best Love Song award at the Teen Choice Awards last night – because his ex-wife and the song’s inspiration Jessica Simpson was hosting the ceremony and during his acceptance, a clip from his music video ran, showing girlfriend Vanessa Minillo which all in one place made Lachey saying, “I just want to start about by saying … awkward? A little bit.”
Later Simpson won for choice breakout female star in a movie for The Dukes of Hazzard while Lachey picked also Red Carpet Fashion Icon, Male.
