The more singer than actress Jessica Simpson insists that she has never been happier now that she divorced after a stormy three-year marriage which was documented on MTV’s reality TV show ‘Newlyweds: Nick + Jessica.’ It seems that Jessica needed the divorce to discover a new perspective in life and also to feel more independent and convinced that she can now realise all of her career ambitions. Talking about her career while her sister Ashlee, became the face of Victoria’s Secrets new collection last month, Jessica who is launching her own range of lingerie had recently revealed that she couldn’t wait to model her own designs.
I feel free, independent and strong. Once I realised how much I really did want from life, I took on a whole new perspective.

In other celebrity news, Nick Lachey is amazed people are interested in him and his ex-wife Jessica Simpson. Teen People notes that he admits that MTV’s Newlyweds helped spark the fascination with him and Simpson, but says, “No one really understands this side of it, but she and I decided to use the show as a promotional vehicle for our albums, you know with MTV, who we’d worked with for years. It was supposed to be six episodes to promote our records, then it turned into this whole other thing.”
