According to the news, R&B celebrity Beyonce Knowles had dinner surprise where members of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) bombarded the star with questions about wearing fur coats and using fur in her clothing line, House of Dereon. The PETA members had the right chance to met Beyonce with only placing the winning bid on an eBay auction which offered fans a chance to dine with R&B celebrity Beyonce Knowles.
A video posted on tmz.com, shows a stunned Beyonce while the persistent PETA guests, known for its nontraditional methods of raising awareness about animal rights, are eventually kicked out of the restaurant.

Peta kills tens of thousands of healthy animals for no other reason than they are homeless. Then the bodies are dumped in the trash bin behind your local store…dead because an uncaring PETA says it cost too much to let them live and would take funds away from their Pamela Anderson billboard campaign.
Beyonce has broken no laws (unlike PETA) and she has every right to use fur if she wants to. At least the animals killed for her fur are going to some kind of use. Screw PETA suporters and their “Disney” like mentality.
Isn’t there a war going on? Don’t we have soldiers dying? I don’t mean to sound uncaring but we have much more to worry about then Beyonce’s fur coat! Leave the girl alone. She didn’t do anything wrong!
In my eyes Beyonce has done nothing wrong. We have people who are homeless, hungry, poor and dying here in our country and around the world. I believe that PETA are completely misguided. Not only do they break the law to try and prove a point (lame as it may be) but don’t we have more important priorities? Death, disease, famine and poverty rank way above PETA’s cause in my book.
Every time I hear PETA mentioned I want to go out and buy something with fur on it. They are such a turn off. By being so radical they destroy their own cause and any support there may be for it.
PETA is nothing but a bunch of brainless morons (can anyone say Pamela Anderson?) that harass celebrities in order to get their 15 minutes of fame.

It is always easy to say ,yeah there are a lot of more important thinks than caring about animals .. Why ?!? Because that they are no humans ? Yes probably that is a reason ,but suffering is real . And those animals are suffering just because a bitch like Beyoncé and others is trying to satisfy a purely egoistic desire.
When there is fake fur thousands of animals are not JUST BEING KILLED ,they are TORTURED ,BOILED ,SKINNED ALIVE while they are still breathing and can feel all the thing that those fuckers are doing to them.
Honestly i don’t have a “Disney” mantality, but i have 2 cats and when i see them everyday i think that they could be at the the place of those animals, the horror and the panic in their eyes when they see how others before them finish just because princess J.LO need a coat to go to a party

i think they way that they went on about it was lame. not very adult and upfront on PETA’s part. There is Beyonce fan out there who would’ve appreciated the luncheon and not gave a damn about how much fur they use.
I agree with the first 3 posts – we certainly have more to worry about besides who’s wearing fur and what animals are suffering when there is a war going on and humankind is suffering worldwide. I also own a cat, who I love, and would hate if anything ever happened to her. But even animal lovers eat meat, wear leather and use goods that have been manufactured after some living being has suffered in the name of research and production. And P.S. Angelina – check out the ingredient list on your cat’s food – there are ANIMAL BY-PRODUCTS in it so your kitty receives a good source of protein. Do you know what happened at the cat food processing plant in order to provide your pet with proper nutrition? Wake up and smell reality. Unless you in no way, shape or form utilize animal products or animal by-products, you are obligated to shut your pie-hole.
The intelligence (or lack thereof) in Angelina’s response says it all. PETA is a purely political facist organization that counts on the ignorance of followers like poor Angi….so sad. I will bet a month’s pay that Angi’s feet are wearing leather shoes and her pants held up by a nice leather belt.. probably several in her closet. As far as Angelina’s comments…well, I agree w/your views about animal suffering, however-cursing out someone whose views differ from your own isn’t going to allow you the chance to educate them…
I have worked in the animal care field for years. While I don’t always agree with how PETA goes about educating the public, I also don’t agree with saying there are more important things going on in the world. Yes, there is a war going on. There is hunger and famine. Diseases are spreading rampantly through refugee camps across the globe. But, when there’s nothing more that we can do from our safe haven here, in our safe country, the best thing we can do is help where we can. There are much better ways to educate than to bombard a celebrity at dinner, but the heart is there. If we keep putting off until tomorrow what we should be doing to help these animals today, when will it ever get done? I’m definitely no saint. I eat meat and drink milk, but I get my milk from a family farm and only buy organic free-range meat (though some of you may know that doesn’t change a whole lote about how the animals are treated.) My point is, not everyone who is for animal rights is trying to convert the world to being vegan. I simply want the world to open it’s eyes. Say Beyonce’s coat was made from an animal that had died of natural causes. Fine. But it wasn’t. Angelina is right. The fur market in China skins cats, dogs, and raccoons alive and leaves them in the dirt and hot sun to slowly wither away. The fur is then shipped to us to feed our fashion industries’ needs for luxurious clothing. That’s only the tip of the iceberg. There are factory farms, puppy mills, laboratories, cruel breeding facilities. Don’t dismiss someone’s beliefs by saying there is more going on, like war and hunger. The animals are trying to fight their own battles against the very people that are supposed to protect them. A man once said that the greatness of a nation was determined by how it treats its animals. If that’s the case, we’re screwed. I’m not saying that what PETA did was right. I’m only saying that they had good intentions that were a little misguided. Also, Christi, there are plenty of pet foods without animal byproducts (which your cat should consume as little of as possible anyway.) It’s not as hard as people think to make a few changes to help out millions of animals. And, if you don’t want to make those changes, fine. But don’t criticize those that feel they are doing something great even if they help one cow, dog, cat, chicken, pig, or monkey have a better life because they chose to give up something.

Yeah, maybe you don’t agree with PETA’s aims, but at least they’re actively trying to change things. What have you done about homelessness recently? What have you done to end the war? Fight famine?

PETA tried to do other things BEFORE THIS to get Beyonce’s attention. It didn’t work. So, they tried this way. And it’s not illegal….they fulfilled the contest’s requirements. It was Just A Conversation. It wasn’t misguided…it’s legal. WHAT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL IS THE NEEDLESS DEATH OF ANIMALS FOR FASHION. I understand if you kill animals for food, because animals do that too. But killing an animal for it’s fur is just horrible. IF YOU DON’T LIVE IN A COLD COUNTRY, AND YOU ARE JUST DOING IT FOR FASHION, THEN IT’S WRONG. They are so many ALTERNATIVES FOR THIS. An animal is beautiful….it’s gorgeous. It’s pure LIFE. I agree with “yeah” and everyone who supports PETA, although I should say the ways PETA shows their means is wrong. They’re turning off people with their violent means of telling them. That’s just wrong! Saying it with respect is better. If it doesn’t work, there are other ways rather than dumping pies/flour or stripping.
