According to the news, the celebrity couple Matthew McConaughey and Penelope Cruz, who began dating in 2004, decided - four weeks ago - to take a break and to spend time apart. It seems the separation was the best decision due to the their busy work schedules, according to a joint statement from the celebrity couple to People.
Actually their relationship was considered to be working so good that at some point, Latin celebrity Penelope Cruz, who is currently in Spain filming Manolete ( and McConaughey is in the U.S. shooting We Are Marshall ), was rumored to be the next celebrity mom, facing pregnancy rumors after being photographed with an apparent baby bump.
However, the split news didn’t came as a shock to us, as the celebrity couple, Penelope Cruz and Matthew McConaughy have sparked speculation they have split, after attending the Golden Globe Awards separately.
