Pamela Anderson hosted an anti-animal cruelty award bash at Stella McCartney’s London boutique two days ago and criticized Hollywood stars for wearing fur. The activist Pamela Anderson posed in a store window behind a strategically placed banner that said, “We’d rather bare skin than wear skin.”

Before she stripped, Pamela Anderson named and shamed Hollywood celebrities who wear and promote animal fur like Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce Knowles, women who are above all role models. The actress also handed out awards to celebrities who had fought against animal cruelty for the campaigning group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta).

My message would be to please start using fake fur. It’s terrible because people see stars like JLo and Beyonce wearing fur and they don’t think about the cruelty that goes into it. They are such beautiful women, and they’re such smart, great role models, that it’s really important for them to be very conscious about what they wear. It’s really sad to me to see them wear (fur), because I don’t think that young girls are thinking about the cruelty that goes into the clothing line.
