Jay-Z and Beyonce BET Awards

Hip-Hop star Kanye West and R&B celebrities Mary J Blige, Chris Brown and Jamie Foxx lead the winners list of the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards on Tuesday night. With a mixture of great performances, unbelievable surprises, and other memorable moments, the show moved from the Kodak Theatre to the Shrine Auditorium, being hosted by actor/comedian Damon Wayans. Among great moments was Beyonce’s opening performance with the most memorable part of it when Jay-Z tapped Beyonce’s booty, there was also a “shocking” kiss between Fantasia and Jamie Foxx while Chris Brown sang, danced and flipped like crazy.

Kanye West and his pal Jamie Foxx took home Best Duet/Collaboration for their mega hit Gold Digger, and tied for Video Of The Year with Blige’s promo for Be Without You while R&B star Blige also picked up the award for Best Female R&B. Chris Brown was named Best New Artist and Viewers’ Choice for Yo (Excuse Me Miss), while the only award winner that was truly a surprise even for him was Prince for Best Male R&B Artist.
