The ‘retired’ hip-hop celebrity Jay-Z marked the 10th anniversary of “Beyond Reasonable” with an fabulous show at the city’s Radio City Music Hall in New York on Sunday evening, performing his debut album in full. His girlfriend R&B celebrity Beyonce Knowles – wearing in a white ball gown – and Mary J Blige were among the guests at his hit debut album, Reasonable Doubt” which is often referred to as one of the best hip-hop records of all time.
Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z, also known as Shawn Carter, the president of Def Jam Records, took to the stage in a 1996 Lexus, dressed in an all-white tuxedo, before announcing: “What up, New York. We’re going last to first, not first to last.” The Notorious B.I.G., and Jay-Z wasn’t even signed to a major label when his first record came out.
He now plans to tour outside the US – including London, Seoul, Beirut, Dubai, Johannesburg and Sydney – in September and October. On the other side asked about his personal life, hip-hop mogul Jay-Z said the reason why he doesn’t have a family yet is because “I don’t want to be in Beirut missing all of your son’s first things, or your daughters, excuse me, first day of school, first haircuts while you are performing at the pyramids in Egypt.”
There’s a lot of places I haven’t been. They’ve heard my music but they’ve never really seen me perform live. This really makes me wanna go out and perform. I’m looking forward to going overseas.
