Hip-Hop mogul Jay-Z is removing all his lyrics about Cristal Champagne from his songs because he continues to be “racist” and vowed to “no longer support any of his products”. According to Jay-Z’ spokesman, the hip-hop star has changed some of his songs for his performance at New York’s Radio City Music Hall this coming Sunday. Jay-Z was furious after Cristal’s managing director Federic Rouzard said he wasn’t happy with the drink being associated with the world of hip-hop. As an answer in a statement, Jay-Z – who has also stopped serving the expensive drink in his 40/40 Clubs in Manhattan and Atlantic City – said “this weekend, we sold more bottles of Krug and Perrier Jouet than ever and we expect that trend to continue. They are great products and we are glad they have embraced us with open arms.”
You can bet that Cristal will not be in Jay’s lyrics. What will replace it, only he knows at this time, because he rhymes on the fly.
