Newsweek magazine named Brad Pitt as one of “15 People Who Make America Great”, for using his celebrity power for different causes in Africa. Hollywood celebrity Brad Pitt – who has described fatherhood as “absolutely sublime” – told the magazine that he and Angelina Jolie decided to use the media for bringing the attention to the problems in Africa. The celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie donated the reported US$4 million they received from selling the first pictures of their newborn daughter, Shiloh, to charity.
Also among “15 People Who Make America Great” were named Soledad O’Brien, an anchor on CNN’s “American Morning” and Rick Warren, author of “The Purpose Driven Life.”
It’s the first time I’ve actually felt like we have some degree of control over it. I can’t describe what an immense relief it is for me. [...] Knowing that someone was going to hound us for that first photo – and was going to profit immensely for doing it – I just couldn’t live with it. He is certainly not a real role-model, but he did used his fame to help. Not many did that. While many celebrities are getting divorced and getting married all they think about is a pre-nup not a strong marriage. So don’t blame him for his marriage with Jennifer, he wanted a family and Jen wanted something else.. that’s it! I am sure they were still an item right know if they had a baby together when there was love between them. The communication and the priorities are everything in a long term relationship.

how on earth does brad pitt make america great! i mean if it wasn’t for angelina jolie he wouldn’t be on the list. he just follows in her foot dteps, she was doing this stuff long before bard pitt came along, im not saying that i like her, all im saying is that she deserves alot more credit than brad! he’s not the only celebrity using his fame for help u know! there are countless others but just because they’re not “as famouse”. they’re not awknowledged! so newsweek should really consider that list
