According to the news, Tupac’s father Dr. Mutulu Shakur wants to release a album entitled A 2Pac Tribute: Dare 2 Struggle to commemorate the 35th birthday of his son, hip-hop icon Tupac. The ’2Pac Tribute: Dare 2 Struggle’ album will be released on June 16 by KENT Entertainment’s rap imprint FIRST KUT.
The CD will feature among other, appearances of incarcerated rappers rhyming alongside Outlawz, and hip-hop icon Tupac’s siblings Nzingha and Mopreme and also a preview chapter of N 2 Da Gutter, Dr. Shakur’s unreleased historical fiction novel about Tupac.
Half of the proceeds from album sales will benefit inner-city health and education initiatives started by Dr. Shakur, who is currently imprisoned.
