Outkast fans won’t be happy to find out that the two members - Andre 3000 and Big Boi - are heading for a split. Although the duo have one more album to record under their Sony contract - Andre 3000, real name Andre Benjamin, insists he’ll never promote it.
The growing space between them became more evident after Big Boi performed alone for the duo’s last album, Speakerboxxx/the Love Below, because Andre 3000 refused to tour. In present Benjamin insists it’s really unlikely to go on the tour and promote the new album. If Outkast will split or not is not known yet but Big Boi, real name Antwan Patten, is still optimistic.
In other celebrity news, have announced that they are planning to release both a film and album late this summer. OutKast’s much-anticipated film and soundtrack album ‘Idlewild’ are to be released in August.
