The US talk show host Oprah Winfrey is favourite to host this year’s Tony awards and has been approached by organisers for the event, according to the New York Post.
However, Oprah who is also nominated for co-producing hit musical ‘The Colour Purple’, might not accept the offer because she considers it would look bad if she won.
Hollywood favourite Billy Crystal is also on the wish list to present the Tony awards, which celebrates its 60th birthday this year, while other options are Julie Andrews, Angela Lansbury or Rosie O’Donnell.
