James Blunt was the spotlight of the 51st annual Ivor Novello Awards in London winning two awards for Most Performed Work and International Hit of the Year, for his worldwide hit ‘You’re Beautiful’. At the ceremony – which honours songwriters – held at the plush Grosvenor Hotel Coldplay lost two awards to James Blunt and the other for the Best Song Musically and Lyrically went to Scottish singer KT Tunstall for her hit ‘Suddenly I See’.
Among other winners are Shayne Ward for Best Selling UK Single, while legendary British band New Order received the award for Outstanding Song Collection.
