Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise

Cruise’s rep said in a statement that the celebrity couple Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise welcomed yesterday the arrival in an L.A.-area hospital of a baby girl, Suri. Holmes, Cruise and baby Suri, who weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 inches in length, are back home. The name Suri has its origins in Hebrew meaning “princess,” or in Persian meaning “red rose”.

As for marriage, the celebrity couple Cruise and Holmes plan to tie the knot soon; not long ago Cruise said on the German TV program that in summer they want to get married.
