After online voting for the TRL Awards the pop singer Madonna was honoured with an MTV Total Request Live (TRL) Lifetime Achievement Award in New York City on 25 February. Other celebrities who received TRL Awards are: U2 frontman Bono who took home the Most Inspired Artist award, R&B celebrity Mariah Carey was named TRL’s 1st Lady Of The Year while Hip-Hop star Kanye West was TRL’s 1st Man Of The Year.

- KELLY CLARKSON – Countdown Killer (Most Time On The TRL Countdown)

- CHRIS BROWN – Fake ID (Best Guest Under The Age Of 21)
- MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE – Best Group That Actually Plays Instruments
- JACK BLACK – Wet Your Pants (Funniest Guest)
- ASHLEE SIMPSON – Bounce Back Award
- SHIA LeBEOUF + AMANDA BYNES – Quit Your Day Job (Best Guest Host Award)
- JESSICA ALBA – Crash And Burn Award (Guest Who Rejected The Host’s Advances Most Effectively)
- BONO – Most Inspired Artist
- MADONNA – Lifetime Achievement Award
