The R&B singer Alicia Keys has signed a deal to develop an hour-long drama based on her life with TV’s UPN network. Despite the early years of her life, Alicia Keys will be creating a show based on her childhood.
The show its about her Jamaican father left when she was 2 and Keys was raised by her Irish-Italian mother in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen. The script is being written by Felicia Henderson (“Soul Food,” “Moesha,” “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”), who will executive produce the project, along with Keys and her manager, Jeff Robinson, according to MTV.
Meanwhile in other Celebrity news, R&B singer Alicia Keys alongside other celebrities like R&B diva Mariah Carey and hip-hop star Kayne West are leading the nominations for the National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (NAACP) annual Image Award.
