Jessica Simpson dress sold better than any dress Jennifer Lopez auctioned, even though J Lo was the favorite. The pop singer and actress Jessica Simpson donated her famous purple dress she wore to VH1 awards this year and it was sold instantly. Lopez, Simpson and other celebrities donated their dresses for the massive 7th on Sale eBay auction.
Jessica Simpson dress which she wore at the annual VH1 “Divas” concert in Las Vegas went for more than $4,400, while jungle-print Versace that Jennifer Lopez wore to the 2000 Grammy Awards – was sold with just $3,200.
The event was sponsored by the Council of Fashion Designers of America. The celebrity dresses were put up for auction starting in November as part of the effort to raise money for HIV/AIDS charities.
In other celebrity news, pop singer Jessica Simpson will open the 32nd Annual People`s choice Awards on CBS. Simpson is also one of the nominee in the category “Favorite Song From a Movie” for “These Boots Are Made For Walkin`.”
