Jay-Z signs Nas to Def Jam Records

According to the news, Nas is set to join Def Jam Records President and CEO, Jay-Z, after the feud between the two hip-hop’s biggest stars came to an end. Def Jam will pay hip-hop star Nas about $3 million, including a recording budget for two albums, with the two labels splitting the albums profits. The feud between Nas and Jay-Z started after the death of Notorious B.I.G. in 1997, when the two were competing for the crown of New York’s top rapper. After years of lyrically assailing, in October last year when Nas and Jay-Z performed together at a New Jersey concert, declaring the end of their feud.
