A Norwegian telecommunications tycoon bought a pair of British football star David Beckham’s old boots for a $148,000. The money will go to earthquake victims in Pakistan where three million were left without shelter in winter time.
Idar Vollvik bought the boots from charity organization Norske Kvinners Sanitetsforening in a Norwegian television show. The Beckham boots have a history of charity fund raising. Norske Kvinners Sanitetsforening acquired them in January when the proceeds went to tsunami victims.
