Kimberly Stewart and Talan Torriero have called off their engagement, in a statement, according to the Associated Press.
They are dating for a few months and the couple’s engagement came as a shock. Kimberly and Talan picked out a 5-carat diamond ring, on Nov. 16, from L.A. jeweler Neil Lane. That night, at the Xbox 360 launch party in Beverly Hills, they broke the news to friends, including Hilton and her sister Nicky. After their recent wedding announcement, apparently they’ve both had a change of heart and call off wedding plans.

It was just too soon to enter into a lifelong commitment. It is better to have a brief engagement than a short marriage. The couple continue to share their time together and remain open to whatever the future may hold.
