Angelina Jolie has received a Cambodian passport after being awarded Cambodian citizenship, earlier this year, as a recognition of her conservation work in the poverty stricken country. Jolie was reportedly “ecstatic and thrilled” when she received it.

Angelina, who adopted her Cambodian son Maddox three years ago, can use the passport when she visits the native land of her adopted son, according to Stephan Bognar, executive director of the Maddox Jolie project in Cambodia.

The Hollywood actress is giving a Cambodian community development organization $1.5 million for its environmental protection efforts in remote parts of the country’s northwest.
