Oprah Winfrey helps catch sex offender by announcing last week during her show, ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’, that she’s giving $100,000 award for anyone who has information and share it to the FBI.
With every breath in my body, and with you by my side, we are going to move heaven and earth to stop an evil that’s been going on for far too long. Before one more child lands in the headlines, we need to capture these criminals and put them away for good.
- Winfrey said in a statement -
After only two days, a woman named Jean Rosenthal called the police and said his neighbour’s friend could be the wanted one. She confessed she was shocked when she realized the man was searched by FBI, because she used to take care of him, cooking and doing his laundry.
Oprah hopes she will have the same success in catching other sex offenders, and posted their pictures on her website, Oprah.com
William Carl Davis, was arrested Thursday and faces felony charges of molesting three Indiana boys last year and failing to register as a sex offender and his bail was set at $1 million cash on Friday. The man had already been convicted on two counts of child molestation in 1992 and spent 28 months in prison.
