
Private label designer Tarrant Apparel Group has named Jeffrey Tweedy, who was the executive vice president of the $450 million men’s lifestyle brand of hip hop Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs, as president of its licensed women’s fashion line, House of Dereon, which was founded by Beyonce and her mother Tina Knowles.
House of Dereon, who was named after Beyonce’s grandmother, Agnes Dereon, will offer women aged 22-40 a mix of casual sportswear styles, featuring a range of denim and fine fabrics and it will be distributed to 450 stores in November 2005.
