Hilary Duff donates $250,000 to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina on the Gulf Coast.
The actress will donate $200,000 to the American Red Cross and $50,000 to USA Harvest, according to a statement released by Duff’s publicist.
Among the celebrities that wants to support the families of the victims are also Nicolas Cage, who announced today he will donate $1 million to the American Red Cross and actor Morgan Freeman helps up an Internet auction to raise funds for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

It’s heartbreaking to see the devastation on TV. People are missing family members, and they have absolutely nothing left, not even food or water.
I want to do everything I can to help those who have survived to help rebuild their lives.
