After keeping his sexuality secret from fans for six years, Westlife star Mark Feehily has confessed he is gay. He is not the first pop idol to keep his sexuality secret from fans, Boyzone star Stephen Gateley, George Michael and Elton John all kept secret about being gay for several years before coming out.
Mark is dating for several months with 21-year-old singer Kevin McDaid, who used to be in boy band. It seems all band mates are supportive of his decision.
I want people to know the truth about my sexuality. I am gay and I’m very proud of who I am. I’m not asking for sympathy, or to be a role model to anyone else. I simply felt it was the right time for me to let people know the truth.

Being a gay is not a shame . He’s still a good guy , still have sweet voice . the news that he was gay not shocked to me . He found his happiness and proud of who he is , that makes me happy . Why ?? Because i’m still his fan .

Wow Matt, it looks like we both knew from the same source, I actually knew already too and it was also while I was watching a music video in 2001/2002, one of my favorites actually.It just hit me, I knew it. Althought I would never think by his appearance he was, that moment I just knew. I wonder if it was the same music video by the way? It was nothing in the video, it was only that I picked things about him.
I actually didn’t wanted to bring this up, but since I’m not the only one, then I don’t mind speaking about it.
