The song entered in the ‘Guinness Book of Records’ for being the quickest single put on sale. It was available online within 45 minutes.
The new version of the song, performed by Sir Paul McCartney and U2 at Live 8, topped the Official UK Download Chart within just hours of its release and knocked down James Blunt with the single ‘You’re beautiful’.
