Jamaicans will get a chance to see Mario when he performs at Kings of Kings International 10th anniversary show ‘Unite The People’ on June 4 at Cinema 2 in New Kingston.

The first single, Mario’s love ballad Let Me Love You, spent nine weeks at number one on Billboard’s Hot 100 Charta few months ago. This album has been certified double platinum, and is still a strong seller in the US.
Mario has been nominated in the 2005 BET Awards. His is up for two nominations, namely for Viewers Choice Award for the video Let Me Love You, and Best Male R&B Artist.

Let Me Love You was about an experience I had. That song just blew up overnight.This album is different from my previous album in terms of the collaborations that I did. This album is like a transition for me and I wanted to go other places. This album is like a turning point for me, sort of like me coming of age.

Set to take on acting projects Mario revealed:

I have some acting projects in the pipeline. There is a movie called Destination Fame which I will be involved with. As for future plans, I would like to own my own record label and maybe sign my own reggae artists.
